Immediate and Background Runs

Small runs finish while you wait; larger ones run in the background, appear under Background Jobs and can be paused, resumed and stopped.

Draft brief for authors. Replace with the final text; keep the concept-page structure.

Page type: Concept · Audience: Processor

Contains: when a run goes to the background; the time box of an immediate run and its continuation; what you see in each case (result dialog vs Background Jobs row); an immediate run is listed under Background Jobs while it lives and can be stopped, never paused; background runs survive restarts and are resumed by themselves for integration-user tables.
